The Touch That Changes Everything

When Jesus Touches You, You Don’t Stay the Same
You can’t get hit by a Mack truck and walk away looking like you did before.
You can’t be touched by Jesus and come out untouched by glory.
Something has to give—and it won’t be Him.
When the living King, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, touches your life, the world will barely recognize you anymore.
They’ll stare and say:
“Is that the same person?”
“They don’t look the same.”
“They sound different. Walk different. Burn different.”
Because you are different. You’ve been marked. You’ve been ruined for anything less than the presence of God.
⸻
It’s Not Talent. It’s the Touch.
You can be trained. You can be skilled. You can sound like thunder in a microphone or move crowds to their feet…
But if you haven’t been touched by the King, all you’re giving them is your personality—not His presence.
And personality can’t break chains.
Talent doesn’t heal the sick.
Charisma doesn’t drive out demons.
Only the anointed, blazing, searing, holy touch of Jesus Christ does that.
“And they brought unto Him all sick people… and as many as touched Him were made perfectly whole.”
—Matthew 14:35–36
⸻
Jesus’ Touch Isn’t Polite. It’s Violent Mercy.
This isn’t a soft little pat on the back. It’s not a religious handshake and a smile.
When Jesus touches you, it’s a divine collision. It’s a fire that melts away everything that doesn’t belong. It’s a wind that blows the dust off your dead places. It’s thunder in your bones. It’s a lion in your chest. It’s love so fierce you want to weep and laugh and fall on your face all at the same time.
It’s violently tender mercy.
And when He touches you, you don’t want anything else.
You don’t want applause.
You don’t want influence.
You don’t even want ministry.
You just want Him.
⸻
You Can’t Touch Others Until He’s Touched You
You don’t have anything to give until you’ve received the touch of Jesus.
What are you giving people?
Information? Motivation? Psychology? Self-help?
They don’t need self-help.
They need resurrection.
They need to be hit by the same power that raised Christ from the dead—and that only comes from the Spirit of God through the touch of the Son.
“Peter said, ‘Silver and gold have I none; but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’”
—Acts 3:6
Peter could give healing because Peter had been touched.
He had been burned by the fire of Pentecost.
He had been shattered and restored by the Savior Himself.

That Touch Will Cost You—But You’ll Never Regret It
To get the touch, you’ll have to get low.
You’ll have to surrender. You’ll have to lay your pride down.
You may cry. You may shake. You may be undone.
But you’ll never be the same again.
And when it happens, you won’t be able to shut up about it.
You’ll burn to see others touched.
You’ll carry something that turns rooms upside down.
You’ll walk into darkness and demons will tremble—not because of you, but because the touch of the King is still lingering on your life.
⸻
Do You Want It? Really Want It?
You can’t fake this.
The real ones know. The devil knows. And Heaven knows.
So, do you want it?
Do you want more than Sunday services and cute sermons?
Do you want more than ministry-as-usual?
Do you want to be wrecked by the weight of glory?
Then cry out for it.
“Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before You!”
—Isaiah 64:1

A Cry for the Touch of Jesus
Jesus,
I don’t want to live another day untouched.
I don’t want to go another moment without Your presence marking my life.
Touch me again.
Wreck me. Fill me. Brand me with Your fire.
Let me be unrecognizable from who I was before You came.
I don’t want church as usual.
I want You.
I’m asking for the real thing.
I’m not chasing gifts. I’m not chasing platforms.
I just want the touch of the King.
Touch me like You touched the leper.
Touch me like You touched the blind man.
Touch me like You touched the upper room.
Let me never be the same again.
Amen.
